Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

exeutor

There is only $1,300.00 in account with over $20,000.00 in debts. My ex-lawyer says that I don't have to pay anything and he sent letters to all the creditors. Do these have to be paid?

Re: exeutor

Well if there is no money or assets to pay the bills and the bills were incurred by the deceased then there is no one required to pay the bills.

Make sure you follow the courts instructions closing out your responsibility for this estate.

Good luck to you.
