Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Lost Money

My boyfriend inherited a sum of money (not sure how much) from his great grandmother (his dad's grandmother) when he was little and doesn't know any information about trying to get it. (Nothing about the will or any bank account or anything) His dad knew informaion but wouldn't let him know once he was of age because he was afraid he'd blow it on something. Now his dad passed away a few years ago and his mom has no idea about any information either. How would he go about finding out what he needs? He's broke right now (which is why he needs it) and he even said he'd pay a lawyer once he gets the money, if they could help him locate it.

Re: Lost Money

OK for starters you need to know where his great grandmother's will was probated. Once you know what county and at least the year the will was probated you can go research the records.

Once you know that then you have a starting point as to where to look for the inheritance.
