Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

power of attorney

I have a power of attorney over a relative. I no longer wish to have it as it is a strain on my family at home. Both parties agree on it, but communication and to dissolve it peacefully between myself and the relative is not working out. What notice and or form will be needed to address this.

Re: power of attorney

The POA usually contains language indicasting the procedure for terminating your services. If the document covers this just follow the procedure. If there is nothing in the document, send a certified letter to the person you are acting for, return receipt requested, telling them you are resigning and to appoint another person. If the document was recorded, your resignation needs to be recorded also.
