Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

power of attorney

Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I have at the present time. My mother is currently in the hospital in critical condition and we are making final arrangements. However the power of attorney papers were never signed by her. We are currently having difficulties due to this. My question is; Is there any possible way to still obtain power of attorney with my mother now being unable to sign the papers due to her state of health? Any help or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Re: power of attorney

You cannot obtain a Power of Attorney unless your Mother is mentally competent and able to sign this document. However, the hospital should be able to help you in going to Court to have a guardian appointed for your Mother. Please contact us with if we can help.
