Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Simple Will

If you have no real estate - is it necessary to create a will. If so, can I create a simple will directing my Executor to pay all debts, etc and then simply bequeath the monies of my life insurance policy, 401K and banking accounts to the appropriate designated beneficiaries associated with each account. Thank you in advance.

Re: Simple Will

Yes. Otherwise you get the will the legislature has created under the intestate statutes. Which may not be what you want.

Besides without a will how will you appoint an executor? That's done in a will along with distributing your estate.

Check with some local attorneys I'm sure you'll find it isn't as expensive as you might think. In any case it will make it much easier for your wishes to be carried out.
