Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Wills

Do I have any rights in two homes that are titled in spouse's name. We have lived in the homes for 15 years and and made mortgage payments, paid taxes, upkeep from our joint income from joint account.

Re: Wills

Did your spouse have a will? The will controls unless you were not left at least a spouse's share [which you are entitled to even if you are left out of the will completely].

If there was no will, you will still have the right under the "intestate" law to claim the spouse's share of the estate.

If the homes were titled only in your spouse's name, although you made payments on the homes, you are not entitled to own them, except under the will or intestate succession law.
