Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Getting The Runaround

I hope someone can help with this. I have been out of work since the last week in April 2004. I have not yet received any comp. checks or corespondance for that matter. Repeated calls to the insurer have led to non-returned phone calls pepole telling me that they handle only the medical portion of my case and so on. They say that my claim is still being investigated 28 days from filing. I know that to some this time might see short, but when one is not independently wealthy ot seems like an eternity. Does the insurance company have a limit on the time to deny or approve my claim? Should I have received my benefits by now? Please Help me! Thanks in advance!!!!!

Re: Getting The Runaround

you need tofile a petition with workers comp court to end the run around. They do have time limits. If the accident was in the course of business and the doctor put you outof work, you should collect. If you have further questions lease feel free to call. 800-310-4800
