Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

workers compensation

i have been off on wc for about 7 mo. due to wrist injury. I had surgery in oct.2008 and that surgery did not work. I had another surgery on jan. 2009. I will be in a cast until Mar. 18 2009. This has been going on for so long now.

I was told I lost my position at work, and not sure if i have a job when I go back. (lay offs) What happens if they lay me off, and can they? Do I have a case for a settlement? Do I need an attorney??

Re: workers compensation

If you have residual disability in light of your injured wrist, and have no job through no fault of your own, you will collect workers' comp until you are recovered and able to work again.

You would therefore me an attractice candidate for a lump sum resolution, whether C&R or commutation.

People with lawyers do better financally than those who represent themselves.

Good Luck.
