Legal Question in Immigration Law in Philippines

I am a Filipina Citizen who has married in USA. My USA Green Card bears my married last name from my American Husband, but my Philippines Passport bears my maiden name (since the US marriage is not recognized by Philippines). Will I encounter any problems with Philippines customs upon entry or departure because my last name on my passport is different than my greencard?

Your situation is quite common. You will not encounter problems with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration. In addition to your passport and green card, bring your birth certificate.

You can have your last name in your passport changed to your married name. Just submit your marriage certificate to the Philippine Embassy and accomplish a citizen's report of marriage. Once you have that, the embassy will change your last name in your passport to your married name.

Very truly yours,
