What if a foreign Artists booking performance was postponed because their visa was denied. The artists's manager signed a promissory note to refund the payment made by the Employer but they won't comply. The employer is a Japanese citizen and the manager is a Filipina, but the performance booking was supposed to be in Guam. Do you have any suggestions on how are we going to pressure them without going far to court?

You cannot pressure them unless you resort to filing a case with the court having jurisdiction.
