Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Philippines

pls help!!
Good day Sir/madam!In case of falsification of public document involving Register of Deeds officer,the crime committed year 1977 and it was only discovered year 2007.My question is, in filing the case is there prescriptive period to consider since it was only discovered year 2007?
