Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Philippines

My brother was a US citizen , died in the Philippines, and named me, USA resident & citizen ( his daughter) as executor. Will the Probate court there recognize me as executor if I am neither a resident or citizen of the Philippines?

You are incompetent to serve as executor being a non-resident However, if your are a devisee, or legatee named in a will, or has any interest in the estate then you can be a petitioner for its probate.
