Legal Question in Personal Injury in Puerto Rico

Statue of Limitation in Puerto Rico

I fell in the hotel in Puerto Rico on 9/19/07, while I was there for my job working. I am trying to find out what is the statue of limitation for liability cases dealing with personal injury? Who would I contact to see if I can receive extension, since they're saying it is about to run out? I don't have a lawyer, because no one in the state of N.C. have rights in the Puerto Rico courts.

Normaly the Statue of Limitation in Puerto Rico in personal injury cases is one year since the day of the accident. You should always consult a lawyer because in some circunstances you may have more time.
