Legal Question in Banking Law in Rhode Island

while separated my wife took a check for 40k that was made out solely to me,cashed it and deposited it into a joint account that was still opened. The next day she wire transferred the money into an individual account at another bank. Do I have any recourse?

Based on the extremely limited facts stated, it would appear you very well may have avenues of recourse, but more information is required. For example, did you endorse the check and then leave it with her, or did she forge your name?
