filing for bankruptcy

i own a home worth a 1.5ml,have a 1.1ml mortgage,no income just closed my business but my exwife have some money to keep paying the mortgage,can i keep my home?(we live together)

Keep quiet by the mortgage company and pay the monthly dues, so noone will ask

I disagree with Mr. Zimmerman.

If you file for bankruptcy, you are required to provide the Trustee with a complete and correct statement of assets and liabilities, so you really cannot "keep quiet" about the house.

Whether you can keep your house through a bankruptcy depends on many things. Hire a bankruptcy attorney admitted to practice in RI with whom you are comfortable and discuss your situation fully with him or her.
