Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Rhode Island

Cigarette Companies

I wanted to find out more about the Lawsuits filed against Cigarette Companies for putting additives that were not disclosed to smokers back in the 1980's. I wondered if I would have a case against the Companies because I lost my Dad 22yrs ago from lung cancer (Enthazima) and I was not sure if you could file a lawsuit at this point being so long ago. Please let me know if there is anything that can be done in the matter. Thank You

Re: Cigarette Companies

As far as I know, the cases that were filed were mostly for people who were alivestill. The statute of limitations would have run on your case years ago. If they allowed your case, the tobacco companies would no longer be in business and you know that's not going to happen. William S. Stern
