Legal Question in Technology Law in Rhode Island

What is best recourse to domain name or identity theft?

A former employee has registered a domain name using our corporate president's name as in NAME.com where the NAME is our company president's name. I know there have been recent court decisions that make this an unlawful act as it is an effective identity theft. I am wondering what is the best recourse. We have already placed a newspaper advertisement in our local paper of record to disavow any association with our company. What would be the best recourse next and what applicable laws govern?
