criminal defense

held without bail for court order violation plus drug related. can i have a public attorney or need to hire a defense attorney

If you can't afford a lawyer, the Court will appoint one for you - typically from the public defender's office. The public defender's office will determine if you are eligible (in terms of income), but if not eligible, you will still have an opportunity to get a private attorney.
