Legal Question in Family Law in Rhode Island

I will be 18 within a month, and my father will stop pay child support and for my medical insurance. Since I am going to college am I able to request that he continues to pay until I graduate?

If yes, am I the one that has to file, or is it my legal guardian that has to?

Only your legal guardian can request a continuation of child support and/or medical insurance. However, your guardian must have a basis for making such a request to the court. Typically you must be physically or mentally handicapped.
