Procedure and type of attorney need to sue a person
What is the process and what type of attorney is need to sue a person who lives in Rhode Island. This person and I became partners to invest in real estate. I invested have $60,000.00 plus made another $40,000.00 personal loan to this person. This person has made investments in real estate on her own and made a profit of $48,000.00. Now she says that she does not want a partner and will pay me back my investment and personal loan. I have sent letters and made phone calls asking for my money and have received no reply. I sent her a Final Notice before Legal Action on November 1, 2002 also no reply. What is my next step? Do I need a attorney in RI or CT? What type of attorney do I need? Can you reccomend one?

Whether you can sue this person in CT would depend on several factors. More information is needed such as where the contract was entered into, whether a partnership was formed in CT, whether any of the property was purchased in CT, etc.
You would want to retain an attorney who practices civil litigation including contract and/or business law.
