Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Rhode Island
My elderly aunt wishes to add my name to the deed of her property in order to pass the property to me and avoid probate upon her death. At the same time she wants to maintain her ownership and rights to the property. What is the simplest way to arrange this transfer? What pitfalls or risks should we consider? She has certain property tax exemptions we would want to maintain.
