Legal Question in Constitutional Law in South Carolina

Breaking in to Email Accounts

My wife (soon to be divorced) has been emailing her ex from her various email accounts. I have broken in to her accounts, changed her passwords, and printed their personal emails. I know this may be illegal. Is this something that I can be charged with? Is the information I print allowed to be submitted during our divorce proceedings? The only proof I have of an affair is their emails. She denies ever ''being'' with him (he lives in HI), but they call and email one another. Is this enough to file on the basis of adultry?

Re: Breaking in to Email Accounts

The interception of electronic communications is unlawful. You need to contact an attorney in your area immediately and consult him about your potential liability. You may have both potential criminal and civil liability. You should not delay speaking with an attorney.
