Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in South Carolina

Reported as Dead On Credit Report

American Express has reported me deceased on my credit report. I contacted Trans Union Credit Reporting Agency and filed a dispute, they sent me back a letter stating they had verified the information and would continue to report me as deceased. How can they verify something that's not true? Also, what recourse can I take to fix this problem.

Re: Reported as Dead On Credit Report

It sounds as if the report of your death has been greatly exaggerated.

Has the report affected your ability to obtain or utilize your prior credit available to you? Many times you may be wronged but suffer no damages. If you have no damages, you cannot recover in a law suit.

If you wish you may contact me direct through e-mail. Your case sounds interesting; like it may have a story written by Mark Twain.
