Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

Defamation from Perverted-justice.com

My minor nephew stayed with me some last week. While using my computer, he opened my yahoo chat account which has the password saved on it. He chatted with a girl and pretended to be me. He emailed my pictures to her and pretended to want to meet her as me. They chatted for a few days and then I started getting obscene messages on my answering machine. Next thing I know, I'm featured on this website called perverted-justice.com as a wannabe child molestor with my picture and phone number posted. What can I do to have this removed?

That's not an easy question and I am not sure that I can be of much help. You might want to consult with an internet/computer expert, or a lawyer that has a strong background in internet law, which I do not. Off the top of my mind, I would suggest you contact that website and tell them you want it removed. You have a problem that requires advise from someone with specific knowledge and background regarding the internet, and I suspect only a few lawyers have such background. Try calling you state bar association for a referral or search the internet for someone that can give you some guidance. Good luck and I'm sorry that I couldn't be more help.
