I assume you attended a Roll Call, Docket Appearance or Initial Appearance. For all practical purposes they are the same thing. If for some reason a criminal charge is not dismissed, then there are basically three ways the case can go. One, sometimes a person can get referred to PreTrial Intervention. Two, the person can plead guilty and be sentenced. Three, the case can go to trial. Since I don't know anything about your case that is about all I can tell you. I'm sure you have an attorney.
