What would it cost to retain an attorney for a PCR? The offense happened in South Carolina, Aiken Cty?

It all depends. Attorneys usually base their fees on a number of factors, such as how much time they will have on a case, how many trips to court, how complicated the case is, how serious the case is meaning how much responsibility will they have. In a PCR it will probably be necessary to go visit the client in prison. So the attorney will factor that in and try to estimate how many times he/she would need to make that trip. In some cases it helps to hire a private investigator. And there could be other expenses. So it really depends on the particular case. I have seen or heard of attorneys charge $2,000 and as much as $20,000. You are welcome to call if you have any other questions.
