Legal Question in Criminal Law in South Carolina

response to robert johnson

I was arrested in charleston county oct 4, 2008 the case is still pending. i have not been convicted nor have i had a plea hearing. Jobs are denying me due to arrest record. how I can i resolve this in order to get a job?

You can ask for PTI. That is Pre-Trial Intervention. As with any criminal case you should have an attorney. Any criminal attorney in Charleston can explain it.

You can have your attorney try and contact the prosecutor and see if this case can be resolved early. If you don't have an attorney, then you can try it. But in all honesty the prosecutors do not like to talk with unrepresented defendants. That is about all you can do.
