Legal Question in DUI Law in South Carolina

Driving with suspended license

I was convicted of dui in north carolina last year. I was givin a limited license (school and work). I went to South carolina to look a college to possibly transfer to. When returning home i was pulled over for speeding. I showed the officer my paper license and he said that it was not valid in SC. I was arrested and taken to jail. The form i have says nothing about leaving the state. I have court in two weeks and i wanted to know what could happen to me?

Re: Driving with suspended license

You didn't say exactly what you were arrested for. It appears there are 2 or 3 tickets they could have given you and I would need to know the exact charge you were given. Also, I would need to see the paperwork you were given from North Carolina in order to answer your question. Its possible that the ticket you received could be beaten if you were in fact a legally licensed driver and that license was valid in South Carolina. Your welcome to call and see if I can be of help.
