Guardianship - Single or multiple?

We are looking at establishing a guardian for my mother. There are three children. Would it be best to have a single guardian or multiple. What are the pros and cons of each. Thank You

Re: Guardianship - Single or multiple?

My apologies for not replying more quickly. A single guardian can more easily exercise singular judgment as opposed to a group effort. with more than one person its easier to locate one of the guardians. If your mother is still competent, a durable power of attorney is a better, less costly direction. Typically, in both instances you can name a primary guardian and a successor. Hope this helps.
