Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

child support

I am currently paying child support, and my daughter is approaching the age of 18. college tuition was not discussed during any of the divorce preceedings. What legal procedures do I have to take to stop child support when she turns 18.

Re: child support

You need to look to the court order and see what is says about any continuing obligation. I think I have already answered this in your other question. If the order simply says that you pay until she is 18, and nothing more, then that's it. However, if it says that you have an obligation that continues past her 18th birthday and you feel you have grounds to have that modified, then you need to go back to court. Call your attorney.
