if I get a divorce do I have to sell the house if I bought it after we were married?

You and your spouse may determine by agreement or let the judge determine after a trial how the marital assets are to be divided up. You do not automatically have to sell your house upon divorce; you will have to sell it if the judge orders you to or you agree to as part of a separation agreement. General, when parties separate, each party will get 50% of the marital property. If they are in agreement, they can split it up however they wish.
