Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

a mother's rights

I have a court order giving me custody of my son. The father has visitation rights only. It states in the C.O. that he has to choose 3 weeks every summer for visitation by MAY 1ST and that normal weekend visitation is suspended. If he does not choose by may 1st, do i have the legal right to say no when the father asks later (july 9th) if he can get the child for the 3 weeks.

Re: a mother's rights

The rule in South Carolina is that you should do what is best for the child. Is it best that he does not spend three weeks with his father? You need to have a conference with a lawyer who can guide you.
