Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

objection to the stop of child support

My son graduated on June 5, received order to stop support on june 4. received last support check on 6/2 for the weeks of 5/10/2009 - 5/23/2009. we got paid for 5/24/2009-6/4/2009 on june12. can I object to the order to have the support for those 2 weeks paid, even though the pay date is after he graduated. I work for the government out pay is two weeks in arrears?

Re: objection to the stop of child support

If the Order specified that the support stops on June 4th, then you are required to pay support through that date. The fact that your check isn't issued until after then is not relevant and it will not keep you from having to provide support to your son.
