Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

No Rest For The Upper Poor Class

My ex pre-planned the divorce and kicked me out with nothing. Due to reported threats I moved away. At the temporary hearing I didn't have proof against the allegations made against me. They said I gave testimony but I can prove I didn't. I didn't find out about the final court hearing until four days after it was over because his attorney kept giving him my address and he kept coming around. I couldn't get a lawyer and now with the gaurdian, his lawyer, and child support fees there is no way to afford one. It's almost a year since the divorce and I have solid evidence of the lies and deceits that gave my ex custody of my children including one that isn't his child, but It's too late to appeal. What can I do? He won't even let me talk to the kids on the phone. I don't know if they are dead or alive.

This issue of custody can always be brought back in front of the court. Of course, its wise to have any attorney represent you. You don't need to worry about the appeal since you can always have the court revisit legitimate custody issues.
