Legal Question in Immigration Law in South Carolina

My wife will have surgury that will incapacitate her for six to eight weeks, limited walking and no lifting. What kind of visa should we try to obtain for his sister, a Philippine citizen, so that she can come and assist during her recovery since I routinely am not at home because of work. We have a son that must be cared for also.

A visitor's would be be appropriate. However, a sister will have to prove to the consult that she is not an intending immigrant when applying for a tourist visa.

Has she visited before? Is your wife a US citizen? Has she petitioned for her sister's permanent residency?
