Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Carolina

uninhabitable apartment

i signed a lease for an apartment, sight-

unseen. when i saw it today it was

filthy and uninhabitable. i left

immediately. i called the landlord and

left a message to say they needed to

find me another apartment. can i break

the lease, which i signed on friday;

today is sunday. is there anything else i

need to do?

Did you leave a deposit or rent? Did you pay by check? Have you stopped payment on check?

I would need to read the lease to advise you on the law. Are you alone on the lease?
