Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

I hit my foot on a pipe sticking out of the ground at the duplex I am renting. I'm in pain and can't walk. Is the landlord responsible for the medical bill if I go to the doctor? If so, how hard will it be to get him to pay?

These types of cases are hard to assess without more information. Long story short, a property owner has a repsonsibility to keep the property safe. At the same time, the requires that people watch where they are walking. I don't have enough information about your particular case to advice youon thsl I've had some "slip & fall" cases that panned out very nice and I've had others that didn't. In order to fully and competently advise you, a lawyer would need to have a lot more information about where the pipe was, who put it there, how long its been there, if its easy to se, if other people were hurt, etc. You really need to have a one-on-one conversation with a lawyer would can ask the necessary question and render some good, reliable advise.

You are welcom to call if you would like.
