Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Injury on recreational field on a college campus

What are can be done if a person (student-athlete) is injured while playing a club team sport, on an away-from-home campus, and the injury is a result not from the sport itself, but from hitting an unsafe object within 5 feet of the actual playing field, during playing time of the event? Could the university which hosted the event be asked to pay the injured's medical expenses, pain and suffering and loss of playing time? Is there anything else they may be sked to be responsible for?

Re: Injury on recreational field on a college campus

Based on the limited information you provided, the best response that I can give is "possibly." If the field was designed in an unsafe manner, then the answer would likely be "yes." These types of issues are very fact-specific, so it would be necessary to get more information to give you a more specific answer.
