Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Slip & Fall

My wife, daugther and I were shopping in a local department store. While looking for an item, my wife slid on some lotion that had spilled on the floor. She did not fall but managed to grab my arm with one hand and the shopping cart with the other. There were 3 clerks working in the area stocking the shelves when it happened. I asked one to clean it up and she asked if we had spilled it on the floor and I said, ''no, it was already there.'' She then yelled at the 2nd clerk about the lotion being on the floor and that she should clean it up. That went on for a few minitues. My family and I continued to shop and then when home. The next 3 days, her knee started hurting and now she can barely walk. At the time, she did not realize that anything was wrong now she can't do much of anything. My question is, Can anything be done about this or will she just have to chalk it up as a loss and pay all the medical expenses on her own? What can I do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. No reports were filed at the department store.

Thanks.

J

Re: Slip & Fall

She can still bring a claim agaist the store and a lawsuit if necessary. There was a hazardous condition, she was injured as a result and there are witnesses. Good luck.
