Notice to move out an apartment

I moved into an apartment with a verbal agreement to take over the lease payments while it was still in the other persons name. she gave me a week notice she wants me to move out. My question is, do i have to move out that soon. what is the correct amount of time I have to move?

Re: Notice to move out an apartment

Your question is hard to answer. I cannot tell if your lease is a month to month lease or not. I donnt know who gave you the notice to move out, the landlord or the person from whom you assumed the lease. On a month to month lease running from the first of the month to the end of the month, you are entitled to have notice not later than the first of the month that your lease will be terminated at the end of the month.
