debt after death

my father died and left what he had to my mother. he didnt even have enough to pay burial expense. he left a credit card debt of 1045.00 including interest. my mother is on a fixed income. what can she do because she has noway to pay this

This was put in the improper category but I can help you anyway - unsecured debts (like credit cards) cannot be collected against survivors. If he did not leave any assets that can be attached (i.e., that are not exempt from creditors' reach), then your mother cannot be made to pay the bill unless she's also on the credit card.
