Legal Question in Social Security Law in South Carolina

can retroactive ssi benefits be received?

My father became disabled when I was 8. After that I never received any child support. I just recently found out that my half brothers and sisters received ssi benefits. Is there any way to receive retoactive benefits now? Thanks for any help.
