Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

Driving with a suspended drivers license

If someone is caught for driving with a suspended drivers and issued a ticket for that, do they also have to be issued a ticket for the original reason for the stop. Such as someone was speeding and pulled over and then it was discovered that person had a suspended DL. Do they have to be cited for speeding for the DUS to hold up in court

Re: Driving with a suspended drivers license

No. There is no law or requirement that they also give you a ticket for the original violation. There still needs to be Probable Cause however. Good luck
