Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina
Traffic Court Case Dismissed; Now it has been reopened. Why?
I went to trafic court March 20. The police officer and myself were present for hearing but the other party did not attend(I was at fault). The judge dismissed the case. I received a call from the courts March 25 who advised me that the case was reopened. Can the reopen a dismissed case? This does not seem right. Any advice?

Cases can be reopened. Maybe the other party that didn't show had a good explanation so the judge reset the hearing.
