Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in South Carolina

Copy of Will

I am trying to obtain a copy of my grandparent's will. All legal matters were handled in the state of Pensylvania and all proceedings have been settled for over a year. I want to know how I can go about getting a copy, and if I am permitted to do so.

Re: Copy of Will

If the Will was filed for a probate proceeding then you can request a copy of the Will. You will find the Will at the Circuit Court of the County where the grandparent resided. Contact this courthouse and ask for the Probate Division. At this time give the name of the person who passed away and ask for a copy of the Will. They may or may not have this because it may not have been filed or that it was filed but in storage because it was settled long ago. Good Luck.
