Probate Question

How much money does a deceasec mother have to leave her children to be excluded out of her will? And can the children protest if she does and what will the probate judge do if the majority of estate left to her 14 year old grandson? Can the children overide this? THe rest of the estate goes to the daughter and son in law if anything happens to the daughter? Please advise..

Re: Probate Question

One of the outstanding things in this State is that you can leave your money to anyone in the family you please. That does not mean you should exclude a family member. There is an exception as to surviving spouses. However, you don't need to make any mistakes in the structure and execution of your will. Go see an attorney. He will lead you through the mine feild and save money in the long run.
