Legal Question in Workers Comp in South Carolina

workers comp

My sister worked for the department of disability and special needs she was attacked by a consumer and was fired. Can she receive workers comp. They fired her for a visitors violation because my sister came to comfort her. She suffered facial contusions, 2 black eyes and knots on her head. They fired her via letter and did not refer her to workers comp.

Re: workers comp

Workers Comp. is based on injuries that occured during the course of employment. Meaning if it was at work and the employee was injure while performing their job, the Workers Comp. should apply. I really don't know much about her situation, but it certainly sounds like it would be worth her while to contact a Workers Comp. attorney.
