Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in South Dakota

Being falsely accussed of a crime-civil rights

I was falsely asscused and arrested for 5 crimes I did not commit. I was arresteed on 07/062007 on 5 drug charges. I spent 6months and 2 weeks in jail then after going to court 3 times they dropped and dismissed my case, all 5 charges. I lost time away from my kids that is priceless, among haveing these charges still on my record. I have other issues such as losing my job, house payments behind-threating forclouser,or eviction, and much more. How do I get justice and regain my repretation back as well?

Re: Being falsely accussed of a crime-civil rights

You could bring on a false arrest and a federal 1983 (civil rights) case. There are some specific things you must do to sustain these actions so finding an attorney and starting immediately is very important. You do not say why you were the focus of the arrest but if it was based on your race creed or color there are other actions both state and federal at your disposal.

Good luck.
