Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

Bankrupt after sent to lawyer!

I was in a very good business and sold it for hardly nothing with c/c debt. Over the next 3 years we lost our home to pay off medical bills and irs ( cpa fault ) we could do nothing about it and have went on and lived in a camper for 3 years now. I owe 3 credit cards and since then 2 have been sent to lawyers. I can not pay the amount they want and they have threaten me , talked rude and thus far I have been very sweet and explained the *Why* but they just don't care ! Can I file for bankruptcy and get the 3 credit cards and also new medical bills off of me even though the cards are in a lawyers hands? Also would a credit counsler take them for me even after the lawyer has them? Please help , I am so stressed out over this. I can't sleep nor hardly eat its making me so sick!

Yes, you can certainly file for bankruptcy; even if they get a judgmet against you, you can still file. Some attorneys even take paymnts for fees. You may also get your court filing fee waived.
