Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Tennessee

Effects of bankruptcy on future spouses

I am single. If I file bankruptcy now, will it affect my future spouse's credit, who has excellent credit. We do not own any property or possessions together.

Re: Effects of bankruptcy on future spouses

It should not effect your spouse's credit at all. However, if you were to buy a house together after you were married your credit will be reviewed and it will show that you filed bankruptcy personally. Please feel free to call me to discuss your situation. I file cases in Tennessee. ph. (800) 303-0720
